The Unsigned Artists Section #4 : iLL-iteracy

Ill- iteracy, is the hip-hop group from Roanoke "Star City", VA that will change the sound of music. The group was officially formed in 1998, but the memebers have known each other since the age of six. The members of Ill-iteracy are Scott Dudley- "Chris Prythm", Kirk Dudley - "Speek Easy", Corey English "Will Spitwell", and George Trent- "Young Observe". Ill-iteracy has grown into a family of four individuals who have common goal "making good music from the heart". In high school, the ill-iteracy member would gather around a computer, a base-model plastic computer microphone and technological inferior recording programs. "There was no mission in mind; no money-making scheme....There was just music" says Ill-teracy. The group reaches for influence through God, each other, Roanoke City, prayful mothers, scornful fathers, the loss of love ones and all the typical conditions that define an inner-city. Ill-iteracy sounds ranges from upbeat anthems to throught provoking/conscious music. "Ill-it" work day-jobs, earn college degrees and manage families as they make their music for listeners. The team writes, records and mixes their own music as well as creating custom beats called "ill-it beatz". Ill-iteracy continues to develop their skills in being artists, producers and executives in the challenging world of music. Ill-teracy has the love and passion to make ill music.
